In the movie Karate Kid, Mr. Miyagi, an unassuming handyman who is revealed to be quite skilled in karate, agrees to teach teenager Daniel LaRusso the martial art.
Through his training, which includes waxing the same car over and over, LaRusso learns the value of muscle memory. With his newfound skills, the teen goes on to win a karate tournament—and the heart of a cute girl.

Enrolling in either a 1-, 2- or 3-day Mini School, students set their minds on dramatically improving all aspects of their game. In the three-day program two days are devoted to full-swing instruction and a day to the development of short game skills.
The three-day session ($925) offers nine hours of instruction, the two-day session ($625) six hours and the one-day session ($320) three hours. All include a static club fitting evaluation, extensive computer and video analysis, and a DVD to take to continue working on skills at home.
For serious golfers, a full-day private session is available with participants receiving one-on-one instruction custom tailored to your request ($1,500). If you’re really serious, take a three-hour lesson from Mr. Leadbetter himself ($3,500). 888-633-5323, www.davidleadbetter.info.
