Holiday gifts—Heavy Putter.

Holiday gifts—Heavy Putter.

If you’re thinking of asking Kris Kringle for a way to erase strokes, drop this hint—a Heavy Putter from Boccieri Golf. Heavier than other putter brands, the Heavy Putter features Boccieri Golf 's proprietary innovative weighting system. With its heavier mass head and counter balanced weight in the grip end of the shaft, the putter improves stroke consistency by forcing the body to use larger muscles for a pendulum-like stroke.

A Golf Digest hotty.

Named to Golf Digest's 2009 "Hot List," and ranked first in GOLF Magazine's 2009 "Putter Test," the MID-WEIGHT Series has found its way into the bags of many Tour players, including winners on the PGA, European, Champions, Asian, Nationwide and Canadian Tours. The K4 model was used by John Daly during his runner-up finish at the BMW Italian Open.

"The line has been incredibly well-received on major professional tours worldwide and continues to sell in tremendous fashion, said Stephen Boccieri, President and CEO of Boccieri Golf. “By creating an easily-repeatable pendulum stroke, golfers can more confidently sink the pressure putts, separating the good rounds from the bad ones.”

Why weight is great.

Each putter incorporates the company's weighting technology, including a 400-gram head and a 200-gram weight installed in the grip end, producing a balance point 75 percent higher than conventional putters. Heads on conventional putters are 330 to 350 grams.

The weighting design causes a golfers’ body to engage his or her larger, core muscles for greater stroke stability, consistent swing paths, uniform pace, precise distance and directional control, tightening end-over-end golf ball roll.

Five stocking stuffers.

The line consists of five classically designed models: the CX2, a classic blade that is face balanced with a plumbers-neck hosel and a full shaft offset; the H1/H3, a medium-size face balanced mallet with a high MOI rating for forgiveness on off-center hits; the J2, whose deeper flanged blade offers the forgiveness of a mallet with a sleek top-line; the K4, a classic "toe-droop" blade with thin top line and the L3, a traditional small face balanced mallet whose thin-face design promotes crisper feel at impact and improves MOI.

"Our products are ideal for customers looking for performance and value in this economy," added Boccieri, “Our consumer testing showed seven out of ten golfers preferred the MID-WEIGHT Series to what was currently in their bags.”

This is an incredible product. Picked up the J2 model last summer and it has definitely helped on the greens. Just so stable. Highly recommend it!

I added a mid-weight to my bag last summer and, though it took a while to get used to, it really started to help with my putting. I caught on to the pendulum concept pretty quickly and that weighting almost makes the stroke automatic.
