No Peeking!
Looking at a piece of grass behind the ball while putting has been a big help to me this week - NO PEEKING is my goal.... just listening for the kerplunk. To do this same focus on a blade with chipping and pitching has made my shots go strighter there too. Now I am watching the blade of grass behind the ball after iron and resue shots with the same result - straighter, cleaner shots, few "rights" and "slices" and in some cases longer distance in ball flight. having just come to Florida and playing on different grasses the latter part of the week my scoring has been much better "watching the blade of grass!" Shadows are big this time of year and seeing my shadow move less as a result of this goal is telling!
Naples, FL has had a lot more rain this past year and Naples Grande Golf Club is in lovely condition. Waterfalls, greens, fairways, ponds all manicured beautifully. Overseeding is healthy, the narrow waste areas are groomed well. We saw osprey and a bald eagle along with all the lovely white Florida birds. Great practice area complete with chipping range & yummy "on course" sandwiches!
