Had a ball playing both the Sun Up and Sun Down courses at Las Campanas in Santa Fe, NM. Two of the better Jack Nicklaus courses I’ve played and the clever way they used the natural arroyos made for both challenge and beauty throughout. Having a Bushnell Pinseeker really helped so you could put the distance circle on the end wall of an arroyo and know how far you had to land the ball. Las Campanas has true greens – putts followed the plumb line very well. Because Santa Fe is high desert, the vistas were dramatic and you could launch the ball high in the air without hitting tall trees like in the Midwest. We were there for the Men’s Member Guest and heard a very funny “golf comedian” who had the crowd belly laughing! Las Campanas - Very posh, meticulously cared for, fine golf & dining too!
