09/28/09Colorado’s 10 Best Par 3s—Resort.
Par 3s are spoilers. In June's LPGA State Farm Classic Michelle Wie double-bogeyed the par-3 17th en route to a 5-over-par 77 in the third round. A three-putt triple bogey on Sunday at the 232-yard par-3 third plummeted David Duval to one over par at the 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage State Park’s Black Course. I asked golf pros from resort Colorado golf courses to share one of their most... Posted at 04:38 PM | Permalink | Comments: 0 |

09/17/09Hunt wins by four.
When Rob Hunt’s second shot on the par 4, 452-yard 18th plunked down two feet from the flag, it spoke volumes about the style of play that resulted in his winning the 2009 Colorado PGA Professional Championship. Hitting a high arc to carry the pond, Hunt dropped his ball on the elevated green, leaving an easy roll in for a birdie—one of six he carded during his third round. Shooting in the 60s’.

Think par 3s are easy? At the 2009 Masters the par-3, 240-yard fourth hole garnered 34 bogeys and one double bogey. In the final-round of the 2009 RICOH Women's British Open eventual winner Catriona Matthew carded a bogey on the opening hole, a 199-yard, par 3.
